My brother Yochanan was so lovable that everyone loved him right when they met him. He connected in such a way that everyone around him would enjoy his company.

Seudos shabbos was so full of joy and singing. He would sing and wanted everyone to sing along with him. The room would fill with joy, and he had a special way when there were more guests; he would somehow connect everyone together. The achdus/unity could be felt in the air.

It's still hard to say goodbye. In my heart, he will always be. He was my brother, my cherished brother. He always will be.

We should all be zoche to see Moshiach and tchiat hamesim and we will see each other again with full of joy and simcha, b’ezras Hashem. Amen

אח שלי יוחנן היה מישהו שכולם אהבו. וכול אהבו אותו מיד שפגשו אותו. הוא היה מתחבר לאנשים שכל מי שהיו בסביבתו היו נהנים להיות אתו. בסעודות שבת היה מלא שמחה ושירים. הוא רצה לשיר ושכולם ישירו אתו. החדר היה מתמלא שמחה ובמקום שהיה עוד אורחים הוא היה מחבר את כולם ביחד האחדות היה מורגש באוויר.

עדיין קשה להיפרד ממנו. בלב שלי הוא תמיד יהיה אחי וגם אח הכי טוב.

שנזכה כולנו לראות את משיח ותחיית המתים ואז נזכה לראות אחד את השני ועם מלא שמחה בעזרת השם אמן

My father ע"ה passed on to the next world on Tevat ח, moitzei Shabbas.

“Chai” means “life” and he lived his life with life and happiness, all the while making people happy.

His passing on moitei Shabbas was also indicative of his self— everyone came to his leviyah in their Shabbas clothes —even the men burrying him on Har Hazeitim, with their Yerushallami, stripped Shabbas robes—you could not help but to see beyond the “veil,” with the happy greeting of his entry to eternity.
